A charming stone finca, mixing traditional
Majorcan tranquility, 'old colonial' style and
new down to earth-elegance, with cobbled
and paved shaded terraces and a scented
garden dotted with palms and citrus trees.
With the galleried hall and colorful fabric
hangings softening the antiqued pastel
washed walls, there is a sense of space and
coolness. Traditional rugged textures such as
the terracotta tile floors, beamed ceilings, log
fires, antiques and old stone walls all in the
plans for this wonderfully designed house.
To add to the quality of timelessness, sheep
often graze in the surrounding almond grove,
occasionally tinkling the bells around their
necks. Positioned close to La Maritja, La
Felucca accommodates six people in the
main house with three bedrooms opening
onto a tiled terrace with stunning views
across the groves to the mountains and the
monastery on Puig de Maria. A separate
guest cottage, for four, has its own sitting
room and covered terrace. Outdoor areas
include dining terraces, built-in beamed
barbecue with a long oak table, and lawns
surrounding a pretty, fenced pool and bamboo
covered Pergola. With families in mind, one
of the shaded terraces has table tennis and
there's a wooden climbing frame behind an
old carob tree.
