This traditional pale pink house is
situated amongst five acres of
agricultural land in a hilltop position
near the town of Loule in the eastern
Algarve, with stunning views over
the surrounding countryside to the
coast beyond. The Algarve is
renowned for its golden sandy
beaches and championship golf
courses with year round playing,
many of which are within a short
drive from the property. The area of
the Algarve is also known for its
pretty nature walks, and there are
many places of interest to visit, such
as the quaint village of Alte, the
baroque palace at Estoi, or the market
town of Loule. Great buys from
Portuguese markets include dried
fruit and nuts, marzipan, pottery,
leather goods, and kitchen and
household items in brass, copper and
bronze. The gracious Spanish city of
Seville is only a 2 ½ hour drive away.
Casa Caiada is surrounded by terraces
and lawns, framed by olive, almond
and citrus trees. A pretty swimming
pool sits to one side of the grounds
and has a sunbathing terrace, outdoor
shower and a separate shallow area for
children. There is also a barbeque area,
ideal for al fresco dining. The property
is peaceful and private, although there
are a few other houses nearby. There
is a car port for two cars.
The interiors are warm and extremely
comfortable, with generously
proportioned rooms. The living /
dining room has large sofas, tiled
floors with Persian rugs, walls lined
with bookshelves, and opens to a partly
covered terrace for outdoor dining.
Two of the bedrooms have fireplaces
and all are fully carpeted, with en-suite,
classic Portuguese tiled bathrooms and
direct access to either terrace or the
garden. Food shopping can be arranged
for guests in advance and during their
stay on request.
