loggia gaze down the valley to the floodlit
Moorish castle. Magical.
With the color washed walls and doors and
windows in bright ocean blue, this
wonderful house has been lavishly and
lovingly furnished, replete with colorful
rugs and fabrics to reflect the Moorish
theme. In traditional Cortijo style, the
house surrounds a central courtyard where
flowers and fruit trees perfect the setting of
a pool filled with fresh mountain water. A
south facing loggia includes a barbecue and
a Moroccan style outdoor fireplace features
in a separate shaded seating and a Moroccan
style outdoor fireplace features on a separate
shaded seating area. Inspirational gardens
incorporate fountains, terraces and flower
covered walls and surround a keyhole
swimming pool and poolhouse with fridge,
changing room and shower room. Within
the exceptionally well equipped house, each
en suite bedroom opens onto a terrace. The
self -contained Casa Maroc guest suite,
accessed through the house or central
courtyard, has a further three bedrooms
and an open living area with kitchenette.
Reached via a steep and unsurfaced 700 metre
road, this blissful retreat is unseen and yet
sees the whole Gaucin valley.
